About 3 years ago, Mike Sheehan, long time member of the Parody Rock Band “Slant 6 and the Jumpstarts” was looking for a way to satisfy his interest in acoustic rock while performing as a percussionist. Mike, a 15 year resident of Shrewsbury, put a short ad on Craigslist Music Site. Within a few hours he was contacted by a popular, and very talented Worcester Area Musician with the same idea. Josh Briggs, formally of “Flat Stanley” and “PopGun Picnic” had started an acoustic rock band with his close friend and co-worker, David Rotondo of Providence RI. After an informal audition, the 3 have been performing in Worcester, Providence and Boston as “5 on Friday”. They have been joined recently by bassist Adam Frost and perform regularly at:The Irish Times, Funky Murphys, with additional gigs at the Celtic Tavern, Copperfields in Kenmore Square and an upcoming Summer Concert on the Common in Grafton.
