SL1 0564 300x200 Shrewsbury Boys Soccer inches closer to the payoffsSHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – The SHS Colonials shut out the hard playing Leominster Blue Devils team this afternoon in a tough 2-0 victory.   This moves the 6-6-1 boys team one step closer to their forest playoff berth in quite a few years, and underscores the tremendous work this team has put in throughout the season.  With strong leadership from their seniors, juniors and sophomores bracketed by a rare selection of four strong freshmen to this years team, the Colonials have been on track to a fantastic year right from the start.   The toughest part of their schedule behind them, they will be facing Leominster, Fitchburg, Leicester and St John’s in the coming week and a half.  If they can win three of their remaining five games or at least take two winds and a tie, they’ll move on to post season play, and hopefully bring back yet another well deserved championship to Shrewsbury High School.
