SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – The Town of Shrewsbury has announced that all trash collection and recyling will be pushed back by one day this week due to the possibility of strong winds on Monday from Hurricane Sandy.
Residents are asked to take back from the curb any items that may have already been put out for Monday collection to prevent things blowing around during the storm.
Stay tuned for more announcements and cancellations over the next 24 hours. In the event that the town decides to open up a shelter for local residents, the primary shelter will be the Oak Middle School. SHS typically serves as a secondary shelter. The town will announce any and all such openings at the appropriate time.
