SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – Oak Middle School students will present the Fall play, Murder in the House of Horrors on Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17th at 7:00 pm in the Oak Middle School auditorium at 45 Oak Street in Shrewsbury, Ma 01545.The cast and crew of 40 students, along with Director Nathan Colby will keep you captivated with a whodunit murder mystery written by Billy St. John.
The audience is immediately plunged into the Hamilton Museum’s lecture on “Monsters, Murderers and Madmen.” After a slightly befuddled start Professor Dick Carlton, a renowned Egyptologist tells of his discovery of the Pharaoh Menkaura’s tomb. Suddenly, while watching a slide of the ruler’s sarcophagus, the projector goes off, plunging the auditorium into darkness. When the lights come on, the professor is dead and the priceless jewel he was holding has vanished. The audience is now drawn into this mystery, both as witnesses and potential murderers. When Lt. Dan Morrow arrives, he narrows the suspects to seven. Was it the jealous wife? An angry benefactor? Or the exotic Egyptian who cursed the expedition? The audience will be caught up in this thriller, uncovering the clues that reveal the killer in an electrifying climax.
