SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts - On Sunday, April 7 at 12 noon, the 6th Annual Shrewsbury Road Scholars 5k & Fun Run will be held in Shrewsbury at Oak Middle School, 45 Oak Street. All proceeds from the race will go to Shrewsbury’s Citizens for Education Fund (CEF) to purchase classroom books and materials, and to support necessary programs and activities in the Shrewsbury Public Schools. Participants can run a 5k route or run/walk a 1 mile course. Pre-registrations received by April 3 include a t-shirt and are $15 for the 5k and $10 for the 1 mile fun run. Race day registration opens at 10:00am and the cost is $20 for the 5k and $10 for the fun run, and does not include a t-shirt.
Presenting sponsors of the race include: Avidia Bank, Dunkin’ Donuts of Shrewsbury, Fallon Community Health Plan, and SHARC-Shrewsbury Health and Racquet Club.
