150x209 K Lundberg Kurt C. Lundberg Obituary NoticeSHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – Kurt C. Lundberg passed away unexpectedly at home on March 17, 2013. Kurt leaves his loving mother, Eleanor Lundberg, with whom he lived in Shrewsbury. He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth Lundberg.
Kurt also leaves his brother Scott Lundberg and his wife Susan of Whitinsville, his brother Bradley Lundberg of Shrewsbury, and his sister Sarajane Cormier and her husband Dan, also of Shrewsbury.
Kurt adored and was loved by his nieces Melissa, Kerrie, Danielle, Julie, Amy, Raeanne and his nephew Derek. He also leaves two great nieces and two great nephews as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kurt was born September 1, 1964 in Worcester, MA. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School and attended Worcester State College. He was employed at Southgate of Shrewsbury and was also a well-known professional musician in the Worcester area.
Kurt remained an active hockey player up to the time of his death. He was a respected and gifted player with numerous individual and team awards to his credit.
Kurt was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and skiing. He loved animals – especially his beagle Bonnie.
Kurt will be grieved for and remembered always by his family and his legions of friends. If ever there was a person without a single mean bone in his body it was Kurt Lundberg. He will be remembered for his gentleness, his kindness and his huge heart of gold.
Because of Kurt’s love of children the family requests that flowers be omitted and that donations be made in Kurt’s name to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. St Jude’s can be accessed on line at www.stjude.org/donate or by phone at (800) 805-5856.

    Shoot, man o man, could he light up a room, and a heck of a drummer/music man.
    He got some many laughs at a cook out last year…..He brought the “Sweet Baby Ray’s” and he became a huge hit. Bad Habit band will never be the same. They did a version of Zep’s Stair Way to Haven for Timmy last Halloween with the Mask above his head. Entranced/entrancing……can’t even describe the mood and emotions of that tribute. May you walk the Stairway too. Was just good to be able to call you a friend.
