SHREWSBURY -In a bizarre twist on this tragic story, Lisa Ricardo, 38, of 106 Wilbur St., Raynham, the sister of accused murderer Keith Rosiello was arrested last night and charged with accessory to murder after the fact, and two counts of child endangerment. Currently, Ms. Ricardo is being held by the Shrewsbury Police Department pending her arraignment in Westboro District Court on Monday.
No official details have been released on what Ms Ricardo’s involvement may or may not have been in the matter. One source not connected to the investigation, indicated to me that there is some question of the exact time the crime occurred relative to the 12:45PM call placed to the police on Wed. by the accused, and she had been deceased for a while by the time first responders arrived. It’s possible that we will find out that Ms. Ricardo was called to the house at some point after the tragic event to pick up the children, but that is pure speculation.
In a written statement, Shrewsbury Detective Paul Brown said that Mr. Rosiello mentioned that the altercation with is wife occurred earlier that day.
Officially, word was released by the district attorney on Wednesday’s press conference that the children were “safe and staying with a relative out of the area.” On Thursday, however, a follow up statement noted that the children were now in the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services, and Friday’s story was that the suspects sister was arrested on the accessory and child endangerment charge.
While I certainly have heard several theories, and have my own, it will be up to the reader, to connect those dots, pending further comment on the case by the district attorneys office.
The DA’s office and the Shrewsbury Police Department should be commended for their excellent work on the case so far.
In response to the many emails received looking for a way to help these children, I hope to speak to some people Monday about the possibility of setting up a fund to help. Thanks to all of you for your emails, and for reaching out. That’s what makes this town such a wonderful place to live.
