SHREWSBURY – Feb. 6th, 2010 – Over 200 students and families turned out yesterday for the Oak Middle School talent show and coffee house and made the evening and incredible success yet again.  Sponsored by the middle school PTO, guests were treated to an incredible exhibition of artwork by the Oak students, and a long line of incredibly talented performers.

The brave singers who got out there in front of the crowd to belt out a tune were wonderful, and were the students playing piano, guitar, cello, violin and other intruments.

The local businesses were so generous with donating food and services, as well as goods for the gift baskets which were auctioned off.

All in all, the night generated over $2000 for the PTO which will go to fund enrichment programs for the students.

Great job by the committee, which included Patty Kinnucane, Carol Rocco, Melanie Petrucci, Steve Levine, Donna White, Maria Cassos, Michele Gordon, Kathleen Taylor, Kathleen Keohane and so many others.

Special thanks to the Oak Middle School Leaders of Tomorrow Group who came out in force last night to provide the manpower for setting up the evening and to all the volunteers who stepped up to help.
