SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – The Outreach Committee of First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury and Boy Scout Troop 114 are working together to assist St. Anne’s Human Services during this time when it is high in need and low in donations. With its food distribution program, St. Anne’s is currently serving over 844 Shrewsbury families, totaling over 2,247 individuals.
Along with certain food staples, need is high for hygiene products, paper goods and household detergents which are not provided by the Food Bank. The wish list of needed items includes mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, relish, sugar, flour, sugar substitute, cooking oils, coffee (regular and decaf), crackers, dish soap, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorants, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, paper napkins, baby shampoo, diapers, Enfamil formula, sanitary napkins, shaving razors and shaving cream.
Donations may be dropped off at the First Congregational Church office Monday through Friday from 9:00 am. to 2:00 p.m., in Gifford Hall on Sunday mornings, or at the Troop 114 trailer in the parking lot from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the last day of the drive, Saturday, March 29. Troop 114 will collect, transport, sort and shelve your donations for St. Anne’s to distribute. For more information, please contact FCC’s drive coordinator Bill Gibbs at email@example.com.
