SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – I wanted to share info about a fun, multicultural event on Saturday, July 12, 1-3 PM at the library. Hidden Treasures of Ancient Korea and Modern Korea will be our Summer Multicultural Program.
The Korean Spirit & Culture Promotion Project is a not-for-profit organization that was formed in September, 2005 to promote Korean history and culture to the wider world.  This New York-based organization will bring their culture to our library.
There will be a documentary film screening on extraordinary Korean artifacts, traditional art and modern industrial achievements.  There will also be a reenactment of a Korean traditional wedding and a complimentary Korean traditional meal.  Works of art, including paintings, objects, and costumes, will be on display.
Registration is required and will start on June 14th. Please call 508-841-8531 or go to the Calendar link on the library website at and select the program on July 12th  to register.
