SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – To b or not to b…good that is! b.good, Shrewsbury’s newest, up and coming restaurant, is putting a new spin on fast food and is now open at White City Plaza, Shrewsbury, MA.
“b.good” is a Boston-based chain that is dedicated to making real fast food from all natural, whole ingredients grown and raised from local family farms. Guided by the philosophy that the food they serve has to be ‘real’, meaning, made and served by people, not factories. b.good serves hand-ground burgers that are packed in-house and made from local, all-natural beef. The fries are hand-cut every day from Burbank Russet potatoes and finished in the oven. The produce, served in salads and side dishes, rotates seasonally in congruence with the vegetables available from local farmers, like Lanni Orchards in Lunenburg, MA.
But, b.good is much more than a burger joint, an important distinction in the ever-saturated “better burger” market. The chain has positioned itself in a category of its own, with a range of seasonal salads, kale & quinoa bowls, and smoothies featuring local fruits and veggies.
b.good was launched 10 years ago by best friends Anthony and Jon. Back then, the two looked at the fast-food landscape and decided there was something missing. Nowhere out there was anyone serving food that people could feel good about, while knowing where it comes from. Thus, b.good was born. “We know the farmers who raised the cows and grew the potatoes that we use to make our burgers and fries,” said co-founder Anthony Ackil, “And all the farms we get our beef from are hormone and antibiotic-free.”
