Shrewsbury Little League Teams up with Grafton to Honor Bombing Victim

martin richard facebook.r 300x224 Shrewsbury Little League Teams up with Grafton to Honor Bombing Victim Shrewsbury MassachusettsSHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – Shrewsbury Little League has teamed up with Grafton Little League to raise monies for the Martin W. Richard Foundation.  As you no doubt recall, Martin Richard was the 8 year old boy from Dorchester killed in the terrorist bombing at last year’s Boston Marathon.

An avid baseball player, he played for Savin Hill Little League. Martin’s sister Jane was seriously injured in the bombing as was his mother and father. After the bombing, a picture went viral of Martin holding a sign that read ‘No more hurting people- Peace.’

To honor Martin and his message of peace, a foundation was created with the idea of investing in education, athletics and community.  Because Martin loved many sports including baseball, would you please consider making a donation to the Martin W. Richard  Foundation? Checks written to ‘Martin W. Richard Foundation’ can be sent to Grafton Little League, PO Box 471, North Grafton, MA 01536
