Shrewsbury Farmers Market will be holding a Farm to Fork Fundraising dinner to benefit their first proceed recipients; Shrewsbury Education Foundation. Shrewsbury Farmers Market is seeking non-profit status, known as WE CAN (Worcester County Environmental Community Action Network) with the mission to proactively work with a wide range of Worcester County community members to promote and enhance our future with healthier natural resources land, air, water and empower people to work towards more social and environmental responsibility including local food security, open space preservation and conservation, energy and other sustainable practices and impact awareness now and for the future.
WE CAN will be holding annual dinners with the proceeds going to a likeminded group in Central Mass, the first ever recipients will be Shrewsbury Education Foundation (SEF), who will be providing green and eco grants to Shrewsbury classrooms with the dinner proceeds.
The 5-course plating dinner will be held at the new Broken Creek Vineyard in Shrewsbury who will be providing wine in their tasting room under the full Harvest Moon. The locally sourced meal from the Shrewsbury Farmer Market will be created and presented by Struck Catering of Worcester, which has strong ties to Shrewsbury. Diners will be treated to live music, natural free-range meats, local produce, and local wine all under the stars and moon.
Tickets are limited and must be purchased prior to the event, tickets will not be sold at the door. The tickets are $100 per person with a portion being deductible to SEF.
