Music Worcester Announcement

ukraine_event_imageShrewsbury, Massachusetts – Music Worcester is proud to present The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine in Worcester this February, with Artistic Director and Conductor Volodymyr Sirenko.

Along with featured piano soloist Alexei Grynyuk (read more below), the internationally renowned symphony orchestra will perform the following program:

Verdi – Overture to La Forza del Destino
Prokofiev – Piano Concerto No. 3
Dvorak – Symphony No. 9 in E minor “From the New World”

Alexei Grynyuk, pianist
Kiev-born pianist Alexei Grynyuk displayed tremendous interest in music from his early childhood and at just six years old started giving his first concerts.
On February 17’s program he will be the featured soloist for Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 and in the near future he will perform Rachmaninov‚Äôs Third piano concerto with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine at the Rachmaninov Festival in Kiev, and give a recital for the 150th anniversary of Kiev Philharmonic Hall. Adult tickets from $49-$55
COLLEGE STUDENT tickets are $17.50 each and YOUTH TICKETS (age 18 and under) are $7.50 each.
This performance is supported in part by the Stasia B. Hovenesian Concert Endowment Fund.

Music Worcester presents a season of events in the finest venues in the Worcester area. A non-profit arts organization, Music Worcester was founded in 1858, supports the Worcester Chorus, The Young Artists Competitions, The Music Guild, and many outreach and educational initiatives.
