Shrewsbury, MA – Grossman Development Group (GDG) and UniBank would like to invite the community to the Lakeway Commons Grand Opening on Saturday, October 21st from 3:30-8:00 pm
The special event at the newly redeveloped plaza of the former Spag’s site at 193 Boston Turnpike, is being held in partnership with the Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce and will feature a “passport” that guests can obtain from the Chamber that day to then visit participating businesses and have stamped. Completed passports can be returned for a chance to win a Grand Prize worth over $2,500! Grand prize items include gift baskets, free classes, restaurant and store gift cards, products, snacks and services, as well as an overnight stay at the Mirbeau Resort & Spa, courtesy of Howard Grossman.
Additionally, participating Lakeway Commons businesses will also be offering exclusive freebies and special discounts that day to those who bring their passport to be stamped:
“The Lakeway Commons businesses and restaurants have been working very hard to get ready for this,” said Grossman Development Group President Howard Grossman. “We are also excited for the public to see the Spag’s memorial bronze plaque that we commissioned Scupltor David Phillips to create.”
Due to the expected crowd size, parking in the plaza will be extremely limited that day. To help alleviate congestion, Grossman Development Group and UniBank have sponsored shuttles to and from Lakeway Commons and the Hoagland Pincus Center lots from 3:30-8:00 pm. The public is encouraged to park at the Hoagland Pincus Center and take advantage of this complimentary shuttle.
At 5:00 pm, a ceremony will begin in the open area between Tavern in the Square and Whole Foods, featuring guests Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Senator Michael Moore & Representative Hannah Kane and culminating with the plaque unveiling.
