SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – Following on the smashing success of last years Celebration in the Garden Party to benefit Shrewsbury Public Schools, planning is underway for an even bigger and better event this year. Mark it in your calendars now, as the party will be on Saturday, June 15th, held once again at the Fallon Home, at 4 Prospect Street, right in Shrewsbury Center, owned by Heather and Jason Logrippo. Their beautiful and historic antique colonial always serves as the perfect backdrop for what has become a signature Shrewsbury event geared toward raising much needed funds to augment school budgets which have been impacted due to many years of shortfalls. Proceeds are proportionally and equitably distributed among the nine public schools in the district and tangible instructional materials as well as technology enhancements have been made possible through the success of these Garden Parties.
Last years event raised over $35,000 for the schools, and this year, the need will be greater than ever. There will be some fantastic silent and live auction items, as always, and the big mystery is just who will be auctioned off this year? We have “sold” our town manager, school superintendent, our senator and state rep, and yes, even our school committee, so we will have to see just who is up for auction at this years amazing event. As you may recall, last year we had just gorgeous weather, for the first time, so perhaps we’ll be as lucky this June, and the tents will be merely for decoration once again.
The host committee is actively looking for sponsors and silent auction donors. If you would like to donate a special item, please get in touch with Debra Mooney at email@example.com. For tickets to the event, you can purchase online at this link http://www.shrewsburygardenparty.com/tickets.html
Remember, last years event sold out quickly, so it’s most definitely not to early to grab your tickets for what will ultimately be one of the most talked about nights of the year.
