SHREWSBURY – Hard to believe that the school year in more than half completed. This week, the SHS leadership released the coveted “Honor Roll” and once again we are able to see the best of the best that Shrewsbury has to offer. The achievements of these students is simply beyond any possible expectations, given the rigorous curriculum offered. Special kudos go out to the 9th graders who just a few months ago were wandering around in Oak Middle School and suddenly are taken incredibly challenging classes, and excelling in them all.
The honor roll is calculated at the conclusion of each marking period for grades 9 – 12. All courses in which students earn credit and receive a numerical grade will be used in determining honor roll. The honor roll is based on the average a student achieves each marking period. The following averages will be used to calculate honor roll:
The exact numerical average a student receives for each class in a marking period will be used to determine honor roll. Students who earn any grade below a C+ (77) are not eligible for honor roll designation for that marking period.
