Shrewsbury Historical Society presents a Victorian Christmas

SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – The Shrewsbury Historical Society is proud to present a very special holiday seminar called a “Victorian Christmas.  At this event, you’ll learn about the historic traditions of the holiday season which date back to the latter have of the 1800’s . The Victorian spirit of Christmas is alive and well in today’s modern Christmas traditions. Christmas trees, an orange in your stocking and holiday cards are quaint gifts from the past.

This freee event takes place on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at the 1830 school house on the common.

About the Presenter:

Patricia Perry is a historical interpreter, a member of the National Association of Interpretation (NAI), and a member of the Association for Living History, Farm and Agricultural Museums (ALHFAM). She was formerly the Chairperson for the Blackstone Valley Interpreter Network.
