Shrewsbury Hope and Healing Service and Ministry

-1Trinity Episcopal Church
440 Main Street in Shrewsbury
Saturday, May 10th
There will be a free meal at 6pm and service at 7pm.
The service will focus on “No More Night – God amidst grief”.

Traveling through the valley of grief is like taking a journey through unknown territory. Things once held constant may suddenly vanish in an emotional flux, and the associated stress often places a strain on interpersonal relationships at home and at work.First and foremost, we need to realize that we cannot cure grief and that everyone grieves differently. The simple communication of concern is probably the most meaningful and helpful thing anyone can do. It may be just the thing to steady a loved one, co-worker or friend in need of emotional support. We cannot cure grief but we can help carry people by letting God be the healer and by being his hands and feet. Those who travel the lonely path of grief benefit immensely from the solace provided by others who understand and care.

Hope and Healing Ministry:
2nd Saturday of the month
From: June to September
6:00pm: Dinner and fellowship
7:00pm: Worship
These services are geared to be very low-key. They are meant to be a place to find hope and rest—a place to let down. A place to be honest with God; to tell Him what is need, and have caring people pray and worship together.

Worship is informal. There will be no collection. We accept donations but there will be no pressure to give. There usually are times of prayer, testimonies, songs, messages and more. All conversations and prayers are held in  the strictest confidence. People may pray aloud and/or share stories and pain but will NOT receive unsolicited advice or counsel.
