Shrewsbury Town Clean Up Day – April 5

800px Leaf rake and leaves Shrewsbury Town Clean Up Day   April 5 Shrewsbury MassachusettsThe Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring Town Clean Up day on Saturday, April 5th from 9:00-11:00 am.

Looking for residents and community groups to help clean up local parks, schools, and public areas after the winter. Interested organizations should have one person sign up for their group. Please indicate area(s) you are interested in cleaning up. You will be given special town cleanup day trash bags and rubber gloves for your group. Town trucks will be by to pick up bags collected after the clean up at assigned locations. Supplies will be available at Town Hall for pick up on April 4th or at Dean Park S. Pavilion between 8:30-9:00 am on April 5th.

In case of severe weather, or frozen grounds, it will be rescheduled to April 12th.

    Doing a good deed daily! Although I will unfortunately not be able to make the clean-up event, time frame. I will/and do my part and encourage you all to do your “good deed” too. as your time willing. ( Poopper scooper for you know what…on each dog walk I take.) Especially now when the snow uncovers little surprises. See you along the way. I try to set a good example. (yes, I pick up other owners poop too. (sad to say)

    Ok…how about just pick up some neighborhood trash, or help a senior cross a street.
    It will make Shrewsbury a better place to live, and you will feel good about your good deed.
