SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – N.E.T.Works Productions Inc., a local non-profit community theater organization, is rehearsing for their next performance of “Man of La Mancha”, a musical by Dale Wasserman. It should prove to be a spectacular production which may incorporate some of the veteran’s from Grove St.
A portion of the proceeds from this show will be going to Dallas Dietrich, from South Dakota, who has established and renovated a mining town, Ortho, as camp resort for the disabled called, “Meeting The Need”. The camp even has a fantastic, wheelchair accessible, Tree House! The camp came about when its founder, Dallas Dietrich and his wife Mary, lost 3 grown children and Dallas lost the ability to walk in a horrible car accident. You can learn more about this incredible foundation by visiting their website st: www.meetingtheneed.com.
N.E.T.Works productions over the last 20 years has raised thousands of dollars for local organizations and now hopes to put helping hands across the “borders” to help Dallas. Our goal is to enlighten the public about the camp, and help defray some of the expenses of running the site. In an article, run in Black Hills Faces, Dallas spoke several times of his dream, which was inspired by his sad loss. N.E.T.Works productions felt “to Dream the Impossible Dream” was only an appropriate vehicle for the cause.
