SHREWSBURY, Massachusetts – St. Mary School in Shrewsbury hosted their annual Open House and Registration Event on Sunday, January 25th. This event marked the start of Catholic Schools Week throughout the United States. This year’s theme, “Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service” exemplifies the essence of what Catholic Schools provide for their students, their families and the communities they serve.
The Open House was an opportunity for prospective students and their families to tour the classrooms and to meet Students, Faculty and Alumni. A number of St. Mary School graduates returned to share insight on how their experiences at St. Mary provided them with the solid academic foundation for their high school years at Auburn High School, Saint John’s and Shrewsbury High School.
The week continued with daily events to recognize and thank many of the individuals who serve St. Mary by sharing their time and talent. Themes for the week included: Our Nation, Our Community, Our Students, Our Parent Volunteers and Our Teachers. The week’s events concluded with the “Share the Love Celebration” an evening of socializing, dancing and silent auction bidding at Saint John’s Salem Commons.
