Toastmasters are scarily creative at Halloween

Worcester, MA, October 26, 2017: Storytelling is an art form as old as mankind itself, and Halloween is a time for spooky tales. The Early Risers Toastmasters Club of Worcester, MA, continues its annual tradition of weaving a weird Halloween saga from 7:45–9:00 am on Thursday, October 26, at ERA Key Associates, 29 E. Mountain Street, Worcester. You are welcome to join us…if you DARE!

At this fun meeting, everybody sits in a circle. The lights are dimmed and the story begins. Your host sets the scene, transporting us to a strange time, place and situation. After a minute or two, the tale is picked up by the next person. The story continues around the circle, changing and growing in unexpected and often hilarious ways! Finally, it comes around to the final person, whose job is to neatly conclude the story and tie up any loose ends. This game hearkens back an earlier time when we told stories as children…stories where anything could happen and the only limit was our imagination!

Improvisational storytelling games like this is just one of the ways that Toastmasters helps to develop strong speaking skills in its members. The Early Risers Toastmasters Club invites you to help us create a unique story that nobody has ever heard before or will ever hear again! There is no cost to participate and no obligation to join. But we’re hoping that once you experience the kind of stories that seasoned public speakers develop, you’ll be eerily compelled to find out more about becoming…ONE OF US!
