Via Italian Table

I’ve been to Via’s several times over the last few months. My first visit was fabulous,  and have to say it’s gotten progressively better each and every time. On a warm summer evening, the outdoor dining tables provide the perfect little get away world, as you slip into the feeling of a Tuscan village. For appetizers, go for the Calamari, Grilled Three Cheese Garlic Bread, Mozarella and Prosciutto, Traditional Antipasto, or the fried Mozzarella slices.  Oh, I almost forget, the fantastic Bruschetta on freshly basked italian Bread.

The only thing I was less enamored with was ht Caesar salad, which basically amounted to a half a romaine lettuce cooked on the grill and drizzled with dressing.  It tasted good enough, but I’m not much for eating warm salad.

For dinner, you can easily go with the wide selection of Grilled Pizza choices…and if you take it from me, you’ll start off with the chicken, sausage and ricotta pizza.

In the fast paced lifestyle my family has, we eat more than enough pizza, so when I go out for an elegant night like that, I rarely go for the pizza option.

On my last two visits, I chose the veal rib eye steaks, which melt in your mouth. So far, in addition to the veal, we’ve tried the Tuscan shrimp scampi, chicken parmesan, Pesto sea scallops, and lobster Gnocchi.

Overall, I give Via my highest rating for a great night out, five minutes from home.
