BMW unveils … electric wingsuit

BMW is not just one of the champions of the European automotive industry. The German manufacturer has just presented a wingsuit accessory that consists of two 15 kW electric turbines! Designed by Peter Salzmann (a professional wingsuit practitioner) and BMW’s research and innovation department, this portable reactor makes it possible (almost) to transform the floating suit into a real flying wing.

In addition, you need to know more about it.

With the electric wingsuit you can fly higher and longer

The aircraft’s turbines spin the carbon propellers at a speed of 25,000 revolutions per minute, which is more than enough to propel the flying man at a speed of 300 km / h (but only 5 minutes). The parachute therefore remains necessary. BMW tested its first electric wingsuit over the Austrian Three Brothers Mountains. And as you can imagine, the accessory is not for sale.
