Crew-1: The Crew Dragon capsule has docked with the International Space Station

This time we can say without fear: The first phase of the Crew 1 mission is a complete success. The Crew Dragon capsule called Resilience moored carelessly on the ISS that evening. NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover and Shannon Walker as well as JAXA astronaut Soichi Noguchi were able to join the ISS crew, a constantly moving sequence that can be seen again in the following video (at 8 a.m. on the video) . The Crew 1 mission will only be a complete success if the astronauts return to Earth (phase 2). This return is planned for the month of June next year.

As we wait for that big day, the final hours that have passed are already historic for SpaceX. Elon Musk’s space company was officially the first private US company to launch astronauts on a NASA-monitored trade mission.
