Turnaround from Insomniac Games. The studio announces that it will finally be possible to transfer the Spider-Man PS4 savegame to Spider-Man PS5. Players can find their progress on the new Sony console.
In a tweet from Insomniac Games it says:
We heard you. In an upcoming update for Spider-Man PS4, we’ll be adding the ability to export your storage to Spider-Man Remastered. This update will also add the three new combinations from the remastered version to the PS4 game. We hope to bring this update to you on Thanksgiving.
For your information: Thanksgiving takes place on the 4th Thursday of November each year in the US. In 2020, Thanksgiving will fall on November 26th. Players who want to transfer their save from Spider-Man PS4 to Spider-Man PS5 don’t have to wait long. As a reminder, the PS5 will be available for purchase on November 19th. Spider-Man will be one of the games to launch.
This language change from Insomniac Games definitely puts players at ease. Last September, the studio announced that a backup transfer from Spider-Man PS4 to Spider-Man PS5 was not planned. At this point, players expected to have to start over. Ultimately, this will not be the case … except for those who really want it.
